Prior to her exciting journey as a founding member of Compass’ San Francisco office, Mollie’s track record in navigating the San Francisco real estate industry speaks for itself. Known for streamlining the buying and selling process with trust, transparency, her straightforward approach, and having an early start to Real Estate in 1997 at age 25, Mollie quickly rose to the top. With her husband Declan Hickey having joined forces with her in 2003, this dynamic team maintained a consistent track record, having been recognized as #1 at Zephyr Real Estate where she hung her license for 14 years, and in the Top 1% of Realtors in San Francisco until their move to Pacific Union Int’l in early 2012. With sales exceeding $174 million in their 3 years with Pacific Union Int’l, they ranked ‘Top 10′ companywide. As a seasoned agent, a recognized industry leader, Mollie has worked on hundreds of successful transactions and has been a consistent award-winner in the very complicated market conditions of recent years.
When selling or purchasing a home in our challenging San Francisco market, you need to work with an agent who understands your needs and can offer creative ideas, whether it is in identifying the right property, or pushing a complicated transaction over the finish line. Mollie is on the front line of every transaction, putting her adroit negotiation skills and extensive contractual knowledge to work. Whether working for her Buyers or her Sellers, Mollie’s goal is to provide the best possible results. With a charismatic disposition and a keen sense for collaboration, Mollie has a reputation with other agents and industry professionals for being easy to work with yet aggressive, creative, and driven: an agent that can make things happen.
When not engaged with real estate, Mollie enjoys time in Northern California’s Nevada City with Declan, her two daughters, and extended family and friends. She has been a long-time avid supporter of Women For Women International, as well as other various local charities, and fundraising events for local schools.
Raised around family in the Real Estate profession in Dublin Ireland, and with BAI in Civil Engineering from Trinity College, Declan landed in San Francisco during the dot com days in the mid 1990s. Having purchased his first fixer project in 1998, his Real Estate goals soon amplified to a full time career in Residential Real Estate Sales in 2003 when Declan joined forces with his wife and business partner, Mollie Poe.
With consistent high rankings in San Francisco’s Top Producing Agent community, specializing in areas such as Mission Dolores, Eureka Valley, Ashbury Heights, Cole Valley, NoPa, Alamo Square, The Mission, Noe Valley, Bernal Heights, and Potrero Hill, Declan’s knowledge of Single Family, Condo, TIC & New Development inventory, coupled with his valued industry relationships and methodical market analysis, allows his clients to enjoy a high success ratio in San Francisco’s competitive marketplace. Together Declan & Mollie work as a dynamic team with a well-earned reputation amongst their industry peers, and with their repeat and referred client base.
On a personal note, Declan has been running fundraising events for the past decade, raising the community spirit of parent groups, while bringing in much needed funds for local schools. He has participated in a leadership role for a Habitat for Humanity project bringing 20 high schoolers to Sri Lanka wherein they collectively raised $100,000 locally and travelled to a remote Buddhist farming community, building homes for families in extreme need. Additionally, Declan has raised funds for Doctors without Borders and is an avid believer in giving back to the local community, and internationally.
